Ah, what wonderful angry posts about bullying we all read recently. So inspired. So indignant. How they shouted down at us from their hill of moral superiority about the terrible harassment unleashed by the “Facebook public” against Nyuta Federmesser, who decided to run in the election from United Russia against Lyubov Sobol. Terrible Sobol, of course, was said to be leading this shameless harassment, expressed in numerous rude and disrespectful comments on Facebook.
Outrageous.
Then Sobol also unleashed harassment against the poor pregnant woman Margarita Simonyan. She ran into her in the corridor of Echo of Moscow (a Russian radio station) and—just imagine!—asked her a question while filming it on her phone. Terrible. Even more terrible was that “many on Facebook” supported it. Joined in the harassment.
And now I see that, in addition to Sobol herself and her family being hounded 24/7, her signature collectors were being attacked all day yesterday.
And in a very “creative” way. It is obvious that this idea belongs personally to Sergei Semyonovich Sobyanin and his deputy for political affairs, Natalya Sergunina.
Some louts run up to the signature collection points, carrying with them—sorry for the unpleasant detail—a bucket of shit. They throw it at the collectors. Sometimes shouting, “You’re against United Russia—here, have this.” After that, they run to a nearby parked ambulance (!) and drive away.
Needless to say, appeals to the police do nothing. The police are giving full support to this shameful, degenerate idea of Sobyanin’s.
It is obvious why they are doing this. I wrote about how hard it is to collect signatures right now. The mayor’s office has a simple goal here. First, to create a certain “atmosphere” around Sobol’s campaign (“THE OPPOSITION CANDIDATE’S CAMPAIGN DROWNED IN FECES”), and second, simply to scare off volunteers and signature collectors.
It is obvious what comes next. The police will do everything they can to make sure no one is found. And if Prigozhin is also involved in this Sobyanin-style creativity, then we will almost certainly see one of his trademark productions from the “ Lyaskin paid the man who hit him over the head with a pipe himself” series. They will show us smirking goblins saying: Sobol paid us to do this in order to discredit United Russia.
Why am I writing all this? I certainly do not expect a single line in support of Sobol from those hypocrites who wrote about the “harassment” of Federmesser and Simonyan. They will pretend not to notice.
But you and I are normal people. Tell me, can anyone vote for a government that engages in this kind of filth? Can we go on pretending that this is being organized by “some forces” rather than by Moscow City Hall under Sobyanin and Sergunina?
Can we really stay out of the broader campaign against United Russia and for “Smart Voting,” when these people with buckets of shit want to become deputies—our representatives in the city parliament?
Just on principle, go and sign for Sobol if you live in Khamovniki, Arbat, or Presnya.
If you live elsewhere, donate to her campaign or come work as a signature collector. Out of spite. So those bastards understand that they cannot scare everyone off.
The work involves standing at campaign cubes (street canvassing stands) or taking part in door-to-door canvassing. The campaign headquarters will teach them everything and pair them with an experienced signature collector. The pay is 300 rubles per signature approved by headquarters.

Independent candidates are running in each of Moscow’s 45 districts. In northern Moscow (Aeroport, Sokol, Koptevo, Voykovskaya), ACF director Ivan Zhdanov is running. Support them, give them your signature. The easiest way to do this is at our signature collection center.
At this point, this is no longer about the nuances of our political views. This is no time for leftists, rightists, and liberals to argue among themselves. We simply do not want the authorities splashing people with shit.
Help the decent people. https://vote2019.appspot.com/
