There are only 5 days left until election day, and our polling shows that things are not going very well for United Russia. And the only way for United Russia politicians to try to stay at the trough is to fall back on the old, time-tested methods: election fraud.
So sign up to be an election observer.
In Moscow, we can issue observer credentials in almost every district (a detailed list is here). But there’s a problem: people wake up and come for their credentials on the very last day. The crooks at the Central Election Commission specifically came up with this restriction: observer lists must be submitted to election commissions by September 4. After that, we will no longer be able to issue credentials in about half of Moscow’s districts.
So now is the perfect time to leave work 20 minutes early and come to the Signature Collection Center (10/7 bldg. 1 Rozhdestvensky Boulevard) to get your credential.
If you come on Monday or Tuesday, we guarantee that we’ll find a polling station near your home. If you come between Wednesday and Saturday, we may not be able to do that everywhere. But we’ll still be able to place you, so come—and the sooner, the better.
We will be observing both the gubernatorial elections and the municipal elections. In St. Petersburg, there are 1,898 polling stations within the city limits, plus 15 in Pskov Region and 62 in Leningrad Region.
We need to do our best to cover every polling station. Come yourself, and bring a friend.
If you are a candidate for municipal deputy, each of you must bring 1 observer for every polling station in your district. There is no other way for this to work. You go door to door and often hear residents say, “I’m going to vote according to the Smart Voting lists.” And that’s good, but it’s not enough. The crooks are terrified of losing their access to power and perks, so they will falsify the results: carousel voting, ballot stuffing, cover-ups, and substitution—this is exactly what election commissions in St. Petersburg are known for. Getting registered was hard; winning will be even harder!
Right now, you need to do 3 things: Register as an observer (we issue credentials as voting-day commission members with advisory status): Complete the training (online or at headquarters) Come pick up your credentials from September 3 to 7 at headquarters: 33 Voznesensky Prospekt.
What’s more, we need volunteer help. Very, very badly.
What needs to be done:
Help manage the observers (15 people, commitment through September 9). This is volunteer work at the St. Petersburg headquarters. Message @gusevaolyaa on Telegram.
Cover election day. We want to create mobile crews and film on location. For this, we need 2 on-camera presenters and 2 camera operators/editors with their own equipment (in the worst case, we can rent it). Message @drug_z on Telegram.
Phone outreach—we urgently need people who can make calls: candidates and observers need to be connected with each other. This can’t be handled with a script; everything is very individual, so we’re inviting people to come work from our office. Message @gusevaolyaa on Telegram.
There is a lot of work to do, and we won’t manage without you.
