Ivan Konovalov turns 25 today.
He probably had some ideas about how to celebrate his birthday. But on Friday afternoon, he was stopped on a road outside Moscow, and by that same evening he was already flying to Arkhangelsk with the rank of “private.”

By some absolute miracle, the head of the Doctors’ Alliance trade union, where Ivan works, managed to get through to Konovalov just before his departure.
He was guarded by 9 (nine) people.
