In August, a group of FSB killers poisoned Navalny with Novichok. He survived by a miracle, spent 18 days in a coma, and then five months recovering in Germany. While in Germany, he recorded an investigation into Putin’s palace — we published it when Alexei returned to Russia.
On January 17, Navalny was detained at the border, and on January 18 he was arrested and placed in pretrial detention over a six-year-old case whose verdict the ECHR had ruled unlawful and politically motivated.
Alexei has always fought for our rights. Having failed to kill him, Putin is trying to put him in prison, and now it is our turn to fight for Alexei.
On January 23 at 2:00 p.m., we call on everyone to come out to the rally. Against thieves and murderers. Against corruption and injustice. For our own future. For the freedom of each of us. To stay home that day means accepting that these villains will go on lying, stealing, and killing. They will never stop, and the longer we remain inactive, the more emboldened they will feel and the more brutally they will act. Sitting this out on the sidelines is not an option. If you think this does not concern you now and that you can live your whole life without ever facing lawlessness and injustice, that is not true — those in power will grow more savage by the day, and sooner or later it will affect everyone.
