Over the past couple of weeks, astonishing things have been happening on federal television. Alexei Navalny has gone from being a man whose name could not be spoken to the main topic of discussion on every political talk show. Ukraine and the “Banderites” (a derogatory Russian term for Ukrainian nationalists) have vanished, Belarus no longer exists, and there is barely a word about the supposedly decaying West. Only Navalny remains.
Correspondents from the federal channels, like teenage fangirls chasing a rock star, travel to places Navalny once visited. They touch things he may have touched, and analyze his every word and gesture.
What happened? Have the shackles of censorship fallen? Not quite.
To answer that question, all you have to do is take a close look at the latest Levada poll about our film *Putin’s Palace*. It found that one in four Russians has watched the film. Nearly 70% have either seen it themselves or know about it. And that means that together, we have beaten television. Our audience has become too large to ignore.

For your sake, we plunged into the abyss of state propaganda. It was not easy. Deranged lies, senility, the ravings of madmen—we studied what television is saying about Navalny and our investigation, and we are ready to tell you about it.
We undertook this brave act for one purpose only: to expose the lies of television propagandists and arm you with the best weapon of all—the truth.
And most importantly: according to a Levada Center poll, one in six people come away from our film with a worse opinion of Putin. That is an incredible result. A single YouTube video can bring down Putin’s approval rating. It can open the eyes of tens of millions of people.
It may seem to you that everyone has seen *Putin’s Palace*. But it only seems that way. In reality, there are still 40 million people in Russia who have neither seen nor heard of it. If the percentage of those who come away disappointed stays the same, that means that simply by showing the video to those people, we will gain another 7 million supporters. And that is before counting the 42% of people who have heard of the film but have not watched it.
The biggest contribution you can make right now, the greatest help, is a very simple action. It takes almost no effort. Show our film to everyone who may have missed it. Send the link again—don’t be lazy. Check whether your grandmother has actually watched it, or only heard something about it from Kiselyov (Dmitry Kiselyov, a prominent state TV propagandist).
Freedom for Alexei Navalny.
