Kursk became the eleventh city on Alexei Navalny’s 2017 autumn campaign tour. Navalny traveled there from Belgorod Airport, and the event itself took place in a downpour: the venue was flooded, but the rally went ahead anyway. The tour was part of Navalny’s presidential campaign: after opening regional campaign offices, he began holding large meetings with voters across Russia.
