Omsk became the third city on Alexei Navalny’s 2017 autumn campaign tour. Navalny arrived there by train from Yekaterinburg, and the event itself became one of the largest rallies of the trip. The tour was part of Navalny’s presidential campaign: after opening regional campaign offices, he began holding large meetings with voters across Russia.
