On March 3, 2017, Alexei Navalny opened a presidential campaign headquarters in Samara. The headquarters was meant to work with volunteers every day and organize the collection of signatures, selecting the best ones later for submission to the election commission. Similar openings took place in dozens of cities: they created teams, offices, working hours, and a clear way for millions of Russians to get involved in politics.
