On May 21, 2017, Navalny’s campaign offices opened in Yoshkar-Ola and Cheboksary on the same day. It was part of an intensive Volga-region tour, during which the team launched several new branches of its regional network in just a few days. In small and mid-sized cities, openings like these were especially important: supporters gained a place where they could come to do concrete campaign work—volunteering, canvassing, and taking part in the campaign.
