On April 21, 2017, Alexei Navalny opened presidential campaign offices in Vladimir and Ivanovo. It was part of a major trip through the cities of the Golden Ring (a historic group of towns northeast of Moscow), where the team was building out its regional network and recruiting volunteers. On trips like these, the campaign became visible on the ground: people got a local office, an address, coordinators, and a chance to get involved in politics not just online, but in their own city.
