A final post-election party was held at Moscow’s Flacon design factory for the volunteers of the Democratic Coalition’s campaign in Kostroma, co-organized by Alexei Navalny. In 2015, Kostroma Oblast became the only region where the coalition’s candidate list, which included opposition supporters, was allowed to run in the elections, making the campaign an important example of genuine regional political struggle. Behind it stood not only the candidates and campaign staff, but also the volunteers: people who traveled to the region, campaigned, helped with organizing, and made the campaign visible. This gallery shows not the official side of the election, but a community of people for whom politics was a shared cause.
