After being denied registration for the presidential election, Alexei Navalny and his team continued trying to build political infrastructure — including through a party format. In January 2018, Navalny announced a new attempt to register the Progress Party, emphasizing that over the year of the presidential campaign, a large and genuine political movement had grown around the campaign headquarters. This gallery is connected to that stage, when the team was trying to turn its network of supporters, volunteers, and regional headquarters into a durable political organization. For years, the authorities refused to allow the party to register properly, but the attempt itself followed the same logic: politics should be not only protest, but also an institution.
