On April 25, 2018, Russia’s Supreme Court refused to overturn the convictions of Alexei and Oleg Navalny in the Yves Rocher case, despite a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights that found serious violations of their rights. For Oleg Navalny, the decision meant remaining in prison until the end of his sentence. For Alexei Navalny and his supporters, it was further evidence that the authorities were using his family as a means of political pressure.
