Everyone knows that the most famous and coolest Russian economist is Sergei Guriev. ⠀ Those who are interested in economics know that Guriev’s status as the most famous and coolest Russian economist is challenged by Ekaterina Zhuravskaya. ⠀ And many of those who really understand economics believe that it is @guriev.sergei who challenges @katiazhuravskaya’s status as the coolest Russian economist, not the other way around. ⠀ I’m not going to get involved in that debate. I’ll only say that since Zhuravskaya and Guriev are married, spending time at the home of these wonderful friends of ours is a great pleasure! ⠀ And when film director Agnieszka Holland dropped by—well, even more so! ⠀ P.S. Katya and Sergei’s son, Andrei Guriev @thescarfdraws, doesn’t seem to be challenging anyone for anything just yet, but he turned 16 today, so congratulations to him!
