I’m flying to Kirov for another day of court on an actual Tu-134. There are three cabins here. The first one even has a sofa! Between the cabins there are doors, not curtains. There’s no seat numbering in the cabin—sit wherever you like. The seat belts have heavy steel buckles. Huge round windows. All in all, it’s real Soviet chic. A bit worn down over the past 40 years, naturally. There are also several Chinese passengers flying with us—you should see the stunned looks on their faces. They probably think a time machine dropped them into 1980.
