The country’s transportation system alone is reason enough to go vote and replace this government. For example, we have a rally in Ivanovo this evening. It’s a major city, the capital of its region, yet the fastest way to get there is by train to Vladimir and then by car. In other words, piecemeal, changing from one mode of transport to another. It feels like the 18th century. We’ve poured so much money into Russian Railways, and still haven’t gotten a proper rail network even in the European part of the country.
