This was important. For me, for the campaign headquarters, and for the entire campaign. To hold a rally in Chelyabinsk right now, when that damned “radioactive ruthenium cloud” is hanging over the whole Southern Urals. No one understands what it is, where it came from, or how dangerous it is. Officials won’t even bother explaining anything to the public. Politicians are ignoring it completely. The presidential candidates (and there seem to be plenty of them) couldn’t care less about the Chelyabinsk region. Never mind that 3.5 million people live there. Voters, supposedly. I believe that any decent candidate should come to the city now, talk to people, and breathe the same air they do. The rally was on fire! Thank you all so much for such a warm welcome. Thank you for coming! #Chelyabinsk #Navalny2018
