I will soon be back in this room, because on November 15 the Grand Chamber of the European Court will deliver its judgment on my complaint. We are asking it to recognize that several of my arrests at rallies were politically motivated. Those arrests have already been ruled unlawful, but the dispute with the Russian government is specifically about the motive. We say the reasons were political. The Russian authorities insist that there is nothing political about it, that in our country the right to assembly and to hold rallies is exercised completely freely, and that the fact Navalny is constantly detained is just a coincidence. In fact, they even claim that he wants to be detained.
