At the farewell for Lyudmila Mikhailovna Alexeeva. A sad day. “Grandma” (as everyone called her) has left us, and she will be very hard to replace. Alexeeva was one of the first people I got to know when I entered politics. Back then, I often visited the Moscow Helsinki Group (a Russian human rights organization), and that’s where I got to know her as well. She was wonderful.
