You’ve probably seen those classic college comedies many times. There’s usually a scene where the parents are dropping off their soon-to-be student. Suitcase, dorm, dorm roommates. And of course the parents always say something that embarrasses the student in front of the roommates. Those movies are made so that the viewer naturally identifies with the student. Which makes it all the stranger to find yourself in the role of the parent. It’s fun here. After the general meeting, a wild brass band came running up to the building where it had been held. Running up, specifically, not just walking over. They started playing and dancing. They whipped up a real frenzy. And then they got hot and climbed into the fountain for a swim.
