The cell was hot, boring, and disgusting. There will still be a trial, and I’ll almost certainly get 30 days as well—just closer to the elections. But I do not regret for a second that I came out today. People came out for me, and I am coming out for them. It does not matter to me who they are: journalists, taxi drivers, political activists, small business owners, waitresses, or professors. That is the only way solidarity works when it comes to the most important things: the right to a fair trial, the right to fair elections, the right to a better life. As soon as we start helping only our own, those who plant drugs on innocent people win. Thank you to everyone who came out. You are very good people.
