About money 💰 I promised I’d explain, so here it is. ⠀ First, some news: yesterday I found out that not only my bank accounts and those of my family members have been frozen, but even my sole proprietor account (individual entrepreneur account) as well. ⠀ This is completely illegal. So they didn’t just steal all the money I had — they also deprived me of the ability to earn more. Then again, could anyone really have expected anything else? The “Navalny, better not come back” campaign is gaining momentum. My apartment has been seized, my current accounts have been seized, and my sole proprietor account has been seized. ⠀ It’s okay, we’ll get through it. ⠀ Which makes it all the more interesting, then, to ask who paid for my treatment and stay in Germany, right? ⠀ A politician’s finances and sources of income should be transparent. I have always stood for that, and for several years now I have published information about my income and assets myself, even though I am under no obligation to do so — I’m not a government official. The expenses break down as follows: 1. the plane that brought me to Germany. 2. Hospital treatment. 3. The costs of treatment, rehabilitation, and living expenses outside the hospital. ⠀ The plane cost €79,000, and it was paid for by businessman Boris Zimin @boris.zimin. ⠀ The hospital’s final bill for treatment was €49,900. It was paid jointly by: - businessman Evgeny Chichvarkin @tot_samy_chichvarkin - economist Sergei Aleksashenko - IT specialist Roman Ivanov aka @kukutz ⠀ How much further living and treatment will cost is unclear, because the length of recovery is still unknown. Yesterday I went to the hospital for another round of tests, and they said that so far everything is going well. But in any case, those expenses have also been taken on by Evgeny Chichvarkin. ⠀ My thanks to these wonderful people, as well as to the huge number of others who offered help but whose assistance we were unable to accept because of the complexities of European banking regulations. It’s enough to drive you crazy trying to process these payments properly if you want to do everything honestly. Special thanks to Leonid Volkov @leonidvolkov, who somehow managed to organize it all. ⠀ There you go. I’ve reported everything. Now try asking Putin’s officials who pays for their private jet flights, their treatment at European clinics, and what kind of “business” their wives and children are involved in when they report incomes in the hundreds of millions. Maybe they’ll answer too? 😉 Photo @jenskochphoto
