Please tell me what’s happening with prices. I honestly don’t understand anything. And there’s no one to ask. The inmates don’t know anything. Prices in the prison kiosk are still the same for now. The camp administration is always wearing body cameras and won’t discuss topics like this. The lawyers snap back angrily: “With all your court hearings, we don’t have time to go to the shops.” On TV they say prices aren’t rising, the government has everything under control, and life is getting better and more cheerful every day. So you tell me, and I’ll ask for the comments to be printed out and sent to me by mail. Just honestly, objectively—what you know yourself, what you’ve seen with your own eyes, and what you’ve bought with your own credit card (if it still works, ha-ha). Are prices rising—and if so, how much—for what could loosely be called “domestic products”? What about imported goods? Medicines, household chemicals, perfume, clothing. But food, of course, is the main thing. Just please don’t forget to say what city you’re in! P.S. They feed me for free, of course, but I have this concern that inmates will be the first place they start cutting costs. So they’ll still feed us for free—but every other day 😉
