ALEXEI NAVALNY
LAWYER, POLITICIAN, FOUNDER OF THE "ANTI-CORRUPTION FOUNDATION"
Alexei Navalny was born on June 4, 1976, in the village of Butyn in the Odintsovo District of the Moscow Region. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. He was a member of the Yabloko party and founded the Committee for the Protection of Muscovites.
Since 2008, Alexei has been fighting corruption in Russia's largest companies. He led court cases against Gazprom Neft, Rosneft, and Gazprom, seeking transparency and accountability of these companies to ordinary shareholders. In his cases, he published documents and uncovered facts of major theft and abuse, including in the state companies Transneft and VTB.
Navalny launched several public projects:
2010, "RosPil." The organization's lawyers filed complaints about potentially corrupt tenders worth 59.1 billion rubles.
2011, "RosYama." The service enabled motorists across Russia to automatically submit complaints about bad roads.
2012, "RosVybory." Observers trained by "RosVybory" uncovered numerous violations in the presidential elections.
2012, "RosZhKH". The site helped tens of thousands of users get solutions to utility problems.
Anti-Corruption Foundation
The Anti-Corruption Foundation, which brought these projects together, investigates cases of misuse of funds and theft from the state budget.
Alexei Navalny became one of the leaders of the mass protests against fraud in the State Duma and presidential elections. After that, five politically motivated cases were opened against him.
For the last 17 years, Alexei has lived in Maryino. Married, with two children. His wife is Yulia Navalnaya. His twelve-year-old daughter Dasha studies at the local school, and his five-year-old son Zakhar attends the local kindergarten.

CHANGE RUSSIA START WITH MOSCOW
HONEST GOVERNMENT, A EUROPEAN STANDARD OF LIVING
Principles of the election program
THIS IS THE KIND OF MOSCOW WE WILL CREATE
HONEST BUDGET
Moscow’s enormous budget serves the interests of Muscovites. Projects are implemented based on the city’s development priorities, rather than the appetites of construction companies close to City Hall. The expediency and effectiveness of all major public expenditures are confirmed by independent external review.
THE OFFICIAL YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT
It is in an official’s interest to be honest, since they receive a salary for qualified work and the performance of official duties. We know exactly what salary each official receives and for what. An official knows that suspicions of corruption, including living beyond one’s means, inevitably become the subject of an investigation. From your personal computer, you can track every public ruble: property registries, contracts, and certificates of completed work.
IN YOUR COURTYARD, THERE IS MORE POWER THAN AT CITY HALL
City Hall does not tell you what to build in your courtyard and district: a clinic, a church, or a mosque. You decide that yourselves. Issues of local importance are resolved at the local level. Money, taxes, and powers have been transferred to the districts. Controversial local issues are considered in municipal referendums.
GOVERNMENT AS A SERVICE
Citizens no longer have to wear out the thresholds of government institutions. All documents and certificates that can be obtained remotely are issued remotely and as quickly as possible. Thanks to modern technologies, receiving public services is simple, does not require the pointless loss of time in lines, or the collection of an incalculable number of certificates and documents.
COMPETITION AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Moscow has moved from a disgraceful 30th place to one of the leading positions in the ranking for ease of doing business among Russian cities. Business development is not hindered by corrupt monopolies in the market for municipal leases, approvals for utility connections, excessive licenses, permits, and inspections. The price of goods and services—from a carton of milk to an apartment—does not include a corruption component.
CHANGES IN MOSCOW — THE KEY TO CHANGES IN RUSSIA
Moscow is the best starting point for transforming our country. Moscow is ready for an independent judiciary, fair elections, a changeable government, free media, and developed non-profit organizations. In Moscow they do not lie and do not steal — and soon all of Russia will stop lying and stealing.
