In 2016, budget spending on healthcare amounted to 3.8% of the country's GDP. This is twice less than in most European countries, and 3.5 times less than in the United States.
In the global ranking of healthcare efficiency, Russia is in 55th place, below Brazil and Azerbaijan. And the situation will not change as long as the corrupt leadership siphons the last money out of healthcare into its own pocket, pays doctors peanuts, while going to Germany for treatment themselves.
