At yesterday’s long and exhausting reporting-and-election meeting of Moscow’s YABLOKO party, I was re-elected deputy chair of the Moscow branch and elected to the Federal Council as Moscow’s representative. There have been some complications with the guests for the upcoming debate. Tomorrow I’m going on Radio Russia to argue with the billionaire Lebedev, that rich Pinocchio-type character, about his initiative to "ban infill development in Moscow". What nonsense. I would have thought a billionaire could hire better PR people and avoid embarrassing himself with gimmicks like that. And Luzhkov’s idea of expanding Moscow at the expense of the surrounding region is, of course, absolutely correct. It’s surprising that he said it. A year ago, Yuri Mikhailych (a familiar form of Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov’s name) was completely against it. We should do something on this topic.
