So, what’s going on over there in your bloated, overfed Moscow? Has Kasyanchik thrown his hat into the ring? For some reason, nobody is discussing that news here in the glorious town of Suzdal. Suzdal is so out of touch with life in general that in the city’s main restaurant (inside the Kremlin, the historic citadel), right in the middle of the display board saying, “Look at the cool guys who’ve stopped by,” there are photos of Putin and Kasyanov hanging side by side. People here really don’t have much feel for the political winds. In the capital, a photo of Kasyanov would ruin a lot of people’s appetites. Meanwhile, I’ve found someone who would be the perfect opposition candidate. Too bad we don’t have anyone like that in our ranks yet. But no matter—sooner or later, someone will appear.
