About Masha's letter. The best part is that some idiot in the comments, presenting this as the main complaint against her, writes: "did you know that your grandfather Timur (!!!) Gaidar shot entire villages of people in the Bryansk region?" Even setting aside the fact that they confused grandfather Timur with great-grandfather Arkady, the logic still seems to be: yes, M. Gaidar has no right to be outraged by the attempt to include Sychev on the list, since her relatives behaved so atrociously. And it's also pretty funny to see people saying, "just wait, it will turn out that Sychev's LiveJournal is really run by Sychev, and then you and Maxim Sokolov will be ashamed." That is, of course, because these people were noticed posting heartfelt comments in fake-Sychev's LiveJournal. And now it bothers them that their emotional outpourings were being answered by a cynical, smirking political consultant with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. Blaming them for those heartfelt comments would be silly—it was just the normal responsiveness of decent people who didn't have the necessary information.
