Out of curiosity, I took a look at who exactly was spreading it: Several sockpuppets posted links in every community related to politics. Those same sockpuppets posted it in their own journals, linked to one another, and commented on each other’s posts ("+14," "excellent," "to the top," and so on). This raises both a question and a hypothesis. *Question: don’t they get tired of doing this crap? *Hypothesis: since I observe roughly the same pattern whenever they push yet another "we, Russian patriots, beat up a pregnant Armenian woman for the glory of Russia" story to the top, one may assume that all the talk about the fascization of the internet and blogs, the overwhelming presence of skinheads online, and so on, is not all that well-founded. The whole commotion is stirred up by four losers who have each made themselves thirty sockpuppet accounts. Of those, one loser is on the FSB payroll, the second is on the payroll of UBOP (Russia’s anti-organized-crime police unit), and the other two are simply insane. At the same time, it is hard not to notice that the FSB’s and UBOP’s investments are extremely effective.
