I just don’t understand people who dislike Putin but at the same time adore Saakashvili. Talented and effective managers. So then, if you love Misha, what exactly is so bad about Vovka? Saakashvili has economic growth — well, Putin’s is no worse. Saakashvili brought order to the police — and Putin did too. Putin breaks up opposition marches — Mishiko does it even more aggressively. Saakashvili makes full use of administrative resources in elections — and Vova does too. Saakashvili uses his shepherds to rig elections — Putin uses our shepherds. Saying that, well, we have oil and they don’t is like saying that in Georgia the whole country is made up of crooks — everyone steals and carries it off to their historical homeland (like that mustached Badri over there). Apparently people love him because he’s a "European." Well, he’s about as European as Dudayev (Dzhokhar Dudayev, the Chechen separatist leader), whom Novodvorskaya called "a true Westerner and Captain Nemo." His entire Europeanness consists of opposing Russia. There’s nothing else there. Just an ordinary wild eastern princeling. Only one who’s been taught English.
