Yesterday I got thoroughly scolded for moderately praising Milov’s report. The report is titled "Putin. Results." Trying to come up with a substantive rebuttal, I went digging online for figures. One of the first things I came across was a report by the Institute of National Strategy called "Results with Vladimir Putin." It is dated 2007. And there was also an even earlier INS report, "Cashing Out Power: The Final Strategy of Russia’s Ruling Class." I’m not going to compare them line by line. But they do look similar. By no means can I accuse Vladimir Milov of borrowing from Belkovsky. Most likely, the point is that the outrages of Putin’s regime are so repulsive that people end up denouncing them in the same words. There simply aren’t any others. It even makes you want to sing: Putin is in the air In the whisper of the trees  Putin is in the air In the thunder of the sea P.S. And here’s neznaika_nalune ranting about the report, too.
