The winners of the forest auctions have put the plots up for sale at $5,000-15,000 per sotka. The lease rights to 69 forest plots covering 991 hectares (most of them west of Moscow) with a starting price of up to 1,000 rubles per sotka were to be sold on December 18-20, 2007. Three weeks later, realtors are selling them.a0But the price is now slightly different: $15,000 per sotka. Once again, I am convinced that the saying "the best investments are investments in people" is absolutely true. As I promised in my previous post on this subject, I have sent inquiries on behalf of KZM to the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the prosecutor's office demanding that the auction be annulled. True, plenty of others have already written to them even without us, and there is even a government directive on the matter, but you can't have too much of a good thing. I'll post the response.
