Reznik has left the National Assembly. It is precisely in this context that we consider the decision by M. Reznik, chairman of the St. Petersburg branch of the Russian United Democratic Party Yabloko, to leave the council of the National Assembly to be the right one. The Bureau also recommends that other members of the St. Petersburg organization withdraw from the bodies of the National Assembly and focus their efforts on bringing democratic forces closer together and establishing cooperation among them. *We believe it is important to shift the focus of the discussion toward a substantive consideration of party reform and the rapprochement of various democratic forces. We propose discussing issues of political reform and the principles of opposition activity under current conditions in a respectful and substantive manner. *http://www.spb.yabloko.ru/pbl/3709.php The most awkward position now is Yashin's: he wasn't at the National Assembly, but he did sign its solemn oath after they started going after Reznik. Now Reznik has formally disavowed that solemn oath. And yashin is still "in the game." Update. Reports say Reznik left only the governing bodies, so he did not break the oath. Accordingly, he will not be sentenced by the NA Presidium to death by snu-snu.
