Otherwise it was turning into some kind of massive capitulation. As soon as they said there was some kind of "Kremlin project," everyone immediately announced they were leaving. That's what you call unsportsmanlike conduct. And Masha is absolutely on point: The more people there are inside the party who stand for principles and an honest position, the less likely a takeover becomes. Desertion is always easy. Let me respond at once to all my fellow party members, to everyone who has reached out to me over the past few days. And there have been many of them, both from Moscow and from the regions. As for me personally, I have no intention of leaving without a fight. I am sure my voice will be heard. And it will not be a lone voice. We have every reason to believe that the congress will hear and accept our position. Do not listen to those who are calling on you to leave the party now. Do not give in to provocations. Stay and defend your position. Every person who leaves weakens everyone else. On the contrary, I call on everyone who cares about the fate of SPS to join this party and fight, if necessary. Let us respect democratic institutions and the democratic process. Let us stop removing ourselves from the process, whispering among ourselves, and running around the corridors.
