User oselok sent this in the comments. Here are gas prices at Lukoil stations in America. Converted into "rubles per liter", it comes out to about 15 rubles per liter for 92-octane gasoline. And here’s a photo from a Lukoil gas station in Moscow taken yesterday:
22 rubles per liter. Of course, fuel prices in Russia are driven by market, semi-market, and completely non-market factors, but it still leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. That is, of course, if oselok’s calculation is correct. Besides, as I understand it, in the U.S. Lukoil sells gasoline made not from its own oil, but from purchased crude.
