I've probably already annoyed a lot of you with my posts about Transneft and its charity work. But I want to say one more thing: At Moscow's Tagansky District Court, closing arguments have begun in the criminal case against former deputy head of administration at Yukos-Moscow, Alexei Kurtsin, and several others accused of embezzling 74 million rubles allocated by Yukos Oil Company for charity. The prosecutor asked the court to sentence the Yukos manager to 16 years. Mr. Kurtsin is already serving a 14-year sentence in a similar case. [\\]({{URL_1}}) The guy from Yukos got 14 years and is going to get more for stealing 74 million rubles under the guise of charity. Meanwhile, the guys at Transneft stole money under the guise of charity — in 2007 alone, 7 billion 193 million rubles. And nothing happens. The police can't even question them. It's not that I feel all that sorry for the guy from Yukos, but where's the justice?
