When I was writing the post about the experiment, I expected half the comments to be along the lines of: you bastard, this is a paid hit piece against Mikhalych (a familiar nickname for Yuri Luzhkov), you’re doing your small part in the campaign to hound him. But, to my surprise, as I wrote, there were only 4 such comments. I still haven’t gone through all the links (there are a lot of them), but I’ve looked through most of them and found only one suggestion that this was an anti-Luzhkov commissioned piece. What did happen, though, was that three (!) journalist friends called me today asking me to spill the beans: do I really dislike YML (Yuri M. Luzhkov) that much on my own, or is someone asking me to dislike him? Because, "as everyone knows, they’re about to do him in," they told me confidentially. In all my years in politics, there hasn’t been a single month when someone didn’t tell me that "they’re about to do Luzhkov in." Sooner or later someone will guess right. Let’s hope it’s this time.
