And then Parker and Sholademi, half a day apart, both tell us how they “accidentally found” a great deal for a New Year’s vacation in the Dominican Republic. They found the exact same offer. Parker. Sholademi. It’s obvious they were paid to post about it. But the ad campaign works, doesn’t it. Now I want to go to the Dominican Republic too. But the most annoying part is that I’m writing this post completely for free, so I’m participating in the advertising too, and I still won’t be going to the Dominican Republic. What’s especially telling is that you can even figure out the rates. Parker writes that he’s going to the Dominican Republic. So he must have been given free travel packages. Samson says that such an opportunity exists. So he was paid, but less than the cost of the trip. (I’m not considering the possibility that he’s busy. What could Sholademi possibly be doing that’s more important than wandering around the world?) Maxim and Samson, tell those guys that I want to go to the Dominican Republic too, and I’ll give them a million links to their site if they pay for three plane tickets. I’ll sort out the accommodations myself somehow. I’m in the thousand-plus club, just so you know. A small one, admittedly, but still over a thousand. Maybe at least a guidebook to the Dominican Republic?
