A reminder that the day after tomorrow, May 27 (Wednesday), the rally "For a Police Force That Serves Citizens!" will take place, organized by the NAROD movement together with the TIGR-Moscow movement. The venue is Triumfalnaya Square in Moscow (also known as Mayakovsky Square), starting at 6:00 p.m. The event has been approved by Moscow City Hall (not without some friction, but it all worked out in the end). As part of the preparations for the rally, poster-leaflets were put up in various districts of Moscow (you can download them in PDF format here: http://ifolder.ru/12290871 ) The Tsaritsyno district was not overlooked either; it is now known across the country thanks to shooter Yevsyukov. Posters were put up, among other places, near the Ostrov supermarket and directly outside the Tsaritsyno police precinct.
RALLY DEMANDS **Minister Nurgaliyev must resign! ** **Police precinct chiefs must be elected by citizens! ** **Neighborhood police officers should be paid a minister’s salary! ** **Transfer OMON riot police units to the army! ** **Handguns for the people! ** Why should you come to the rally? Because police crime (it’s about time this term entered common use, by the way) has already become the norm. Just look at the news feed from the past few days — it’s the same thing over and over: “Interior Ministry officer got drunk, got behind the wheel, ran someone over.” I really do not want to see the names of relatives and friends on those lists. Of course, grumbling on the internet is all very well, but if we do not raise our voices in the streets as well, nothing will move off dead center. So on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. — everyone to the rally. The formula is simple: "Public outcry = a step toward Interior Ministry reform" **By the way, former Interior Ministry employees will also be among the speakers at the rally — they have something to say on this subject too. A view from the inside, so to speak.
