A rather entertaining information war has broken out between YABLOKO and Solidarnost. The battle reports are quite something. Solidarnost: *Today Comrade "What-Do-You-Want" Mitrokhin met with voters in Nekrasovka. As promised, I attended the event. The meeting with "What-Do-You-Want" Mitrokhin exceeded all my expectations. First of all, I ceremoniously presented Mitrokhin with the chief attribute of a real waiter — a serving tray. Let me remind you: Yabloko, carrying out an order from Luzhkov, filed a lawsuit in the Moscow City Court demanding the removal of A Just Russia candidate Galina Khovanskaya from the ballot. As was easy to predict, the Moscow City Court removed Khovanskaya from the election. Khovanskaya was the only candidate who, despite being a member of a pro-Kremlin party, spoke out against Luzhkov. * After receiving the tray and hearing my speech about Khovanskaya’s removal, Mitrokhin immediately declared me a pro-Kremlin provocateur, despite my harsh anti-Luzhkov remarks. YABLOKO’s response *Mitrokhin explained to those gathered that these were provocateurs carrying out a Kremlin order. When he asked whether Deputy Khovanskaya had ever come to Nekrasovka to help its residents stand up to the abuses of the local district administration, local residents answered no, saying they had never even heard of this deputy before. In turn, the residents of Nekrasovka asked who Nemtsov was. Sergei Mitrokhin explained that he was the author of housing and utilities reform and the shift to 100% payment for utility services. “Luzhkov did not agree to this reform in Moscow, so now Nemtsov hates him for it,” Mitrokhin explained. * This information “finally turned public opinion around” and strengthened their resolve to vote for YABLOKO.
