Exactly one week ago I posted a video titled "How VTB Is Being Milked." Here’s a quick interim summary. The video has fully justified itself as a way of spreading information. In one week, it racked up 73,493 views. On its first day, it was the most popular video in Russia. Not bad at all, if you ask me. Given that the video is long by internet standards (7.5 minutes), and the topic is a complicated one, I would have considered 20,000 views a satisfactory result. But this is something else... Insider reports of teeth grinding and bulging eyes in VTB’s upper offices are balm for this wounded minority shareholder’s soul. It’s nice to know that there are still some areas completely beyond the control of the Efficient Managers. YouTube isn’t television. You can’t just slap a "ban" on it or call the editor-in-chief. It was definitely the right idea to put a contact email at the end. I got a hundred thousand million emails. I still haven’t replied to all of them. The main thing we missed was that we should have made an English-language version right away. We’ll keep that in mind for the future, and in the near future we’ll put together a version with English subtitles.
