Ololo. Our project with Forbes is getting results. I don’t think I’d be wrong in saying that I’ve become the only minority shareholder of OJSC "Surgutneftegas" who, in the entire history of this lovely company, has actually managed to pry the board of directors’ minutes out of them. The quality of the minutes and their contents are a separate issue, but the very fact that they were provided is remarkable. All my previous attempts had produced very little. This time, apparently, Bogdanov got scared of Forbes—what if they struck him off the billionaires list? The shame would be unbearable. Judging by the fact that all the minutes came with original stamps, handwritten notes saying "true copy," signatures from the board secretary, were stitched, numbered, and so on, one can conclude that our firm letter caused a slight stir in the sleepy kingdom of Surgut. In terms of public resonance, this event could only be surpassed by the scandalous story about how the Surgut girls went out to pick raspberries and ran into a bear. I’m about to write a column for Forbesrussia about it. (By which I mean not about the girls and the bear, but about the results of the experiment.)
