What’s your name? My name is Alexei. That’s the only thing left in my head from an entire semester of the German elective I took at university. So now I’m asking for help from more diligent students. It turns out there have been no fewer than two articles about me published in Germany. One in Die Presse: Russland: Der Stachel im Fleisch der Konzerne The other in Die Welt: Kritischer Aktionär im Fadenkreuz And while the InoPressa website conveys the general content of the Die Presse article here: A Thorn in the Flesh of Corporations (great title!), it’s not clear what exactly Die Welt is saying. The word Fadenkreuz is unsettling. A word like that could mean anything. It sounds like Faustpatrone. If anyone speaks German, please help. Thanks in advance. P.S. From the first article, it’s clear they’re not criticizing me. Although the correspondent, Eduard Steiner, looked at me with such suspicion and questioned me so thoroughly and sternly that I half-expected a headline like: "A Moscow layabout strings corporations along."
