Some Muscovites may just have heard a scream coming from the direction of Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment in Moscow. A mad, passionate, savage scream—the cry of a she-wolf shot clean through. Don’t be alarmed. That was Igor Ivanovich Sechin, chairman of the board of directors of Rosneft Oil Company OJSC.

**And he was screaming because today, in the Moscow Arbitration Court, Rosneft OJSC got thoroughly slapped down and forced to provide me, as a shareholder, with the board of directors’ minutes. **So soon I will be the first shareholder in Rosneft’s history to possess them. Refusing to provide the minutes (which are 100% guaranteed to me by the law on joint-stock companies) was Rosneft’s matter-of-principle position: it apparently considers itself above everyone else and couldn’t care less about any court. Even Gazprom handed over the minutes, but these people wouldn’t. This smackdown came as part of a joint project with Forbes.ru. As you can see, the case has been dragging on since January 11. More details later. My awesome and heroic employee and colleague fil_defense went to court (everyone should friend him). He’s now chuckling with satisfaction and sticking yet another little picture of a Downed Effective Manager onto his briefcase. You know, like fighter pilots did during the war.
