Off the Record For Rosneft, not all shareholders are equal: it considers it dangerous to provide legally required documents to just anyone, regardless of how many shares they own. Rosneft intends to appeal the court ruling requiring it to provide documents to minority shareholder Alexei Navalny, a company representative told Vedomosti. He said Rosneft wanted to continue the fight because “the emergence of court practice obliging a company to provide any minority shareholder—regardless of the number of shares they own—with documents containing confidential information, commercial secrets, and state secrets could prove dangerous for other issuers.” Read in full
