The Rosoboronpostavka tender (the state defense procurement agency), which I wrote about two days ago (and which RosPil started working on ten days ago), has been canceled. The notice about it appeared on the government procurement website less than an hour ago.
I’m sure Rosoboronpostavka will get along just fine without the SPKAPSGZ system, which cost 25 million rubles (about US$830,000 at the time). I very much hope that President Medvedev, who oversees ROP, gave its management a proper kicking. Mission accomplished.
