Press Conference of the Electronic Democracy Development Foundation* On March 30 at 12:00, the Electronic Democracy Development Foundation will hold a press conference. The foundation’s founders will speak about the goals behind its creation, its structure and first projects, and the prospects for the development of electronic democracy in Russia.* A very cool idea that deserves every possible kind of support. I’m बेहद curious to see how all this might develop. In my non-professional opinion, the most important unresolved issue is user verification. How should it be done? Via SMS? Via a card reader (that’s how people vote in actual elections in Estonia)? How much does such a card reader cost? If these guys manage to create a system of genuinely fair voting, and no one has any doubt that real people are voting (each person only once), then wow—that would be huge.
