At last, I want to introduce you to RosPil’s coordinator. This is Konstantin Kalmykov. I’ve known Kostya for many years; he’s a very sharp guy. He is 28 years old. He has a higher education degree (Russian State University for the Humanities, political science, graduated with honors). From 2002 to 2007, he worked for the YABLOKO party, and his last position there was supervisor in the regional department of the party’s central office. Since 2008, he has been working with me—collecting and analyzing information, preparing various documents, and so on. In particular, he took an active part in investigating the case involving the purchase and leasing of drilling rigs by VTB-Leasing OJSC (this week I’ll tell you how things are progressing). In fact, he has been coordinating all of my government procurement work since November 2010, but he did it in his spare time and wasn’t paid for it. So when you read in my LiveJournal, “I got such-and-such a contract canceled,” that most likely means Kostya got it canceled and I took the credit. Now it has become obvious that the workload doesn’t allow him to do anything else, so as of April 1 he is officially coordinating RosPil and will be paid a salary from the money you donated. So, at this point, three people are working at RosPil: the coordinator (Konstantin) and two lawyers (Lyubov and Andrei). So that you won’t have to ask, what exactly are these lawyers, who are being paid with my money, actually doing, and also so as not to give the little idiots from the Nashi movement (“Ours,” a pro-Kremlin youth movement) an excuse to write idiotic posts saying “RosPil does nothing,” we made this thing.
This is what the Google Docs spreadsheet looks like for each lawyer; it is publicly accessible. There you can see exactly what the lawyers are working on, review the results of their work, and look through all the documents they have prepared. Everything is updated in real time. Perm Krai Governor Oleg Chirkunov became the first official to openly transfer money to RosPil (there were a few before him, but they asked not to disclose their names—they’re afraid Putin will give them a dressing-down). Good for him. chirkunov wrote a post about it, not missing the chance to take a jab at me, sarcasm and all, but he really did transfer 25,000 rubles last Friday. So that we, too, will have something to tease Governor Chirkunov about, I ask everyone who has information about questionable government procurements in Perm Krai to send it to us. We’ll check it especially carefully.
