Today in London, the recurring heroes of my little blog—the “effective managers” of the state-owned bank VTB—held a session of the “Russia Calling!” investment forum. An absolute classic of the scammer style so typical of VTB: the “Russia Calling!” forum was closed. Neither on VTB’s own website, nor on the website of the formal organizer, VTB Capital, could I find any information about the forum, even though all previous events of this kind were staged with great pomp.
Apparently, a prominent representative of the “Party of Crooks and Thieves” (a derogatory nickname for Russia’s ruling party)—and, incidentally, state banker Kostin—really did not want people ready to ask uncomfortable questions getting into the forum. And they didn’t get in. But they were outside. Out there, Chichvarkin was putting on a show—chich8—himself a perfect example of the consequences of the investment climate created by people like Kostin and Co.
Good for him, huh. Fully here.
