Looks like little LJ (LiveJournal) has come out of its coma. Whether temporarily or for good, I have no idea. But while I have the chance, here are my coordinates outside LJ: Twitter here. Facebook page here. I still haven’t really figured Facebook out, so the page is in a rather indecent state. Please note that there are several "Navalny" pages on Facebook; from time to time I get messages saying, "we agreed on such-and-such with you on Facebook." I can tell you for sure: if you’re corresponding with "me" on Facebook, then you’re giving a great deal of pleasure to some anonymous prankster. (New!) Account on Google+ Google+ seems like a pretty decent thing. Sign up. If LJ goes down, my old posts can be viewed at navalny.ru As for the exodus from LJ that many are predicting: for now, there’s nowhere to run. Unfortunately, neither Facebook nor Google+ makes it possible to write proper posts. My posts generally have a complex structure: lots of links, scanned document copies, often video—I simply can’t use anything but LJ. Not to mention that the comments there are organized monstrously badly, and comments matter to me—I read them. I assume the attacks will continue, because their goal is to prevent the spread of information about corruption, the Party of Crooks and Thieves (a nickname for United Russia), the Blue Buckets movement (a Russian protest movement against officials’ abuse of road privileges), the Ozero dacha cooperative (a well-known group tied to Putin’s inner circle), Sagra, Ramzan Kadyrov’s antics, and so on and so forth. There’s nothing to be done about it. We will keep exposing the crooks, and the crooks will keep trying to obstruct those exposures. There’s no need to worry about LJ outages. Let’s be patient and work flexibly: if they smash LJ, we jump to Google+/Facebook; if LJ is restored, we come back. Update. By the way, I’m not on Odnoklassniki either. There’s a "Navalny" account there with several thousand friends, but I have no idea who runs it.</lj-like>
